The Appleton A Better Chance (ABC) program provides academically talented minority students with opportunity, education, guidance and personal development to help them achieve their goals and become leaders within their communities.
The Appleton ABC program was established in 1968. Appleton is one of only 25 communities to offer an ABC program. Appleton's program is the second oldest ABC program in the country. The national ABC program oversees all participating schools.
Over the last 40 years, the Appleton ABC program has enriched the lives of more than 170 young people.
Through a partnership with Lawrence University, housing and tutoring are made available to students.
