Committee Roster
This committee shall devise means for encouraging attendance at all Rotary meetings including attendance at district conferences, inter-city meetings and International Conventions by all club members. This committee shall especially encourage attendance at regular meetings of this club and attendance at regular meetings of other clubs when unable to attend meetings of this club; keep all members informed on attendance requirements; promote better incentives for good attendance; and seek to ascertain and remove conditions that contribute to unsatisfactory attendance.
Family of Rotary Committee Tony Gonzalez, Chair - 733-4481
Committee Roster
The goal of the Family of Rotary Committee is to provide opportunities for Rotarians to introduce their families to the functions and projects in Rotary, creating an opportunity to make Rotary a life-affirming experience for the entire family. The committee shall develop new activities and coordinate with existing club services and activities to support the goals and mission of Rotary, and at the same time promote Rotarian retention and the building of better friendships.

Committee Roster
The club annually sponsors one major fund-raising event. We are not known as a club running food booths, selling items or asking members to participate in a variety of fund-raising activities. The reverse raffle offers Rotarians and their spouses, significant others or guests an evening of refreshments, fellowship and opportunities to win valuable prizes. The proceeds from the reverse raffle go to Rotary Club of Appleton projects or to one or more specific funds of the Appleton Rotary Foundation.

This committee shall arrange for an invocation to be presented at all luncheon and dinner meetings of the club. The committee communicates by e-mail and each member is asked to arrange for members to give the "thought of the day".
Membership / Classification Committee Jon Kester, Chair - 739-3241

This committee shall consider all proposals for membership from the personal side and shall thoroughly investigate the character, business, social and community standing, and general eligibility of all persons proposed for membership and shall report their decisions on all applications to the board. Also, this committee shall, as early as possible, but no later than August 31 of each year, make a classification survey of the community; shall compile from the survey a roster of filled and unfilled classifications; shall review, where necessary, existing classifications represented in the club; and shall counsel with the board on all classification problems.

This committee shall arrange for the music and songs at all regular club meetings including musical instrumentation and song leading. The committee will also assist the other committees in arranging for music at all special meetings of the club, when desired.

This committee shall review continually the club roster of filled and unfilled classifications and shall take positive action to initiate and present to the board the names of suitable persons to fill unfilled classifications.

This committee shall devise and carry into effect, plans to give the general public information about Rotary, its history, object and scope and to secure proper publicity for the club.
Recognitions Committee Shripra Seefeldt, Chair

The Rotary Club of Appleton Recognitions Committee is dedicated to identifying, evaluating and honoring exemplary Rotarian and Non-Rotarian community leaders who have distinguished themselves in one or more of the Rotary Avenues of Service*. Recognition will come in the form of a presentation of the Charles and Patricia Heeter Outstanding Community Leadership Award and will be accompanied by a donation to the Rotary International Foundation in the name of the recipient. The Committee will elect to use any vehicle of recognition available through Rotary International, including but not limited to the Paul Harris Fellowship, or any other recognized form of Rotary International award.
Rotary History / Information Committee Matt Rehbein, Chair

This committee shall maintain a written and photographic history of all significant activities and add to our collection of information presently at the Outagamie County Historical Society. This committee shall also devise and carry out plans: (1) To give prospective members information about the privileges and responsibilities of membership in a Rotary club; (2) to give the members, especially the new members, adequate understanding of the privileges and responsibilities of membership; (3) to give the members information about Rotary, its history, object, scope and activities; and (4) to give the members information as to developments in the administrative operations of Rotary International.

This committee shall seek to enliven club meetings through providing occasional humorous skits and sketches. The committee is also in charge of a portion of the meeting at which new officers are inducted.
Visitation Committee Bill Anciaux, Chair
Committee Roster
This committee which falls under fellowship activities is made up of several club members representing several disciplines (i.e. ministerial to medical) and probably could use others who are younger and on the younger member "grapevine". Our main duties include visiting ailing members and their families, sending out sympathy cards in case of death, and best wishes for a speedy recovery in other cases. We depend on the input of all club members and if appropriate make announcements at meetings. The committee meets about once a year.
