The Concept:

How do a group of rural librarians in central Wisconsin decide to bare a little skin and make a calendar? When a colleague announces his retirement and it's decided a practical joke is in order as a way of saying thanks for all the comic relief he provided through the years. Initially, we were going shoot our own photos, take it to the local Walgreens and make one calendar for said colleague. That all changed when one of us talked to a local photography studio. Come on down they said - we'll shoot some pictures for you. Fun and clever photo shoots resulted in an impressive calendar - so impressive we decided it might make some money for our cash strapped libraries. And the rest, as they say, is Desperate Librarians.
