FVLC General Meeting Agenda

The annual May general meeting of the Fox Valley Library Council will be held on Friday, 11 May 2001 at 9:30 AM in the meeting room of the Appleton Public Library.

9:30 AM BUSINESS MEETING
  1. Call to order.

  2. Approval of the minutes of the FVLC General Meeting of 17 November 2000.

  3. Approval of the 2001-2006 FVLC Annual Plan presented by Cheryl Gage, President-elect/Chair of the Planning Committee and as Proposed by the FVLC Board.

  4. Approval of the 2001~2002 FVLC Annual Operating Budget as proposed by the FVLC Board.

    NOTE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IN THE PROPOSED BUDGET:
    Please note the reduction in the FVLC "Revenues" to reflect the fact that OWLS and Winnefox will no longer be contributing funds to support the FVLC Business Videocassette collection.

    The FVLC Board proposes an increase in the "Meetings/Programs" budget line to $1000 dollars. This increase cover meals for general meetings.

    The FVLC Board proposes that the "Business videocassette" budget line be increased to $950 by including the $250 usually budgeted for printing the catalog. This move was made in view of the fact that the Business Videocassette catalog is now available on-line at the FVLC website.

  5. Action to set the 2001-2002 annual FVLC Membership Dues at $35.00 as proposed by the FVLC Board.

  6. Approval of the following slate of FVLC officers for 2001-2002 as proposed by the FVLC Board

      President: Cheryl Gage
      Vice President: Ken Hall
      Secretary: Meg Shriver
      Treasurer: Pete Gilbert

    [At this time the new FVLC President will step forward to preside over the balance of the meeting]

  7. Approval of the following nominees for the 2001-2002 FVLC Standing Committee Chairs as proposed by President-Elect Gage and by the FVLC Board:

    Business Videocassette - Vacant

    Constitution and Bylaws - Rick Krumwiede

    Council Advocate - Edie Phillips

    Membership - Terri Richards

    Planning Committee - Craiq Lahm, Rick Krumwiede, Ken Hall [additional members of this committee will be sought especially from, FVLC members who represent other than public libraries]

    Public Relations - vacant

    Intellectual Freedom - Craig Lahm

    Resource Sharing - Karen Probst
