Executive Board Meeting
February 9, 2001

Present: Craig Lahm, Greta Thompson, Pete Gilbert, Karen Probst, Terri Richards, Rick Krumwiede, Meg Shriver

The meeting was called to order at 9:35 am

Pete Gilbert motioned to approve the minutes from the October 13th board meeting. Karen Probst seconded. Ayes carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report - Pete Gilbert
All is well. The association is in strong financial condition.

Standing Committee and Appointed Position Reports

Business Video Committee - no report

Constitution and Bylaws - Rick Krumwiede
Changes which have been made in the bylaws need to be reflected in the handbook on the website. Pete will be sent the text of the changes and the URLs of the affected pages for updating.

Council Advocate - no report

Education Committee - Greta Thompson
The program at the May general staff meeting will be a sharing and information gathering session on resource sharing including the impact of electronic information and the future of WISCAT.

Membership Committee - Terri Richards
A question was raised about members that have not paid their dues. The planning committee also discussed this topic and will include it in the 2001 - 2006 FVLC annual plan.

Planning Committee
Members - Cheryl Gage, Rick Krumwiede, Ken Hall and Craig Lahm presented a draft of the 2001-2006 annual plan. The committee will do further work on the plan and present a draft to the board at the April 13th board meeting. Planning topics include: optimizing the dissemination of directory information; evaluating the change in meeting frequency; examining the funding of FVLC especially membership dues; and resource sharing in an electronic environment.

New Business
Terri Richards and Pete Gilbert will collaborate on making the final pages of the FVLC directory (which includes the name/institution/telephone number and e-mail address of members) available electronically on the FVLC website.

The location of the May 11th meeting has not yet been set.
