Fox Valley Library Council
Business Meeting
November 17, 2000

Stephen Proces, director of the Neenah Library, welcomed everyone to the new library.

The meeting was called to order at 9:35

President, Craig Lahm thanked Ken Hall and Nancy Britten for their work in handling the details for the meeting.

Members were reminded that FVLC officers may be contacted any time with questions or concerns. The Fox Valley Library council website ( http://www.focol.org/~fvlc/) will also be a source for current information and announcements.

May 11, 2001 is the tentative date for the next general meeting. Anyone who would like to have their library host this meeting, please get in touch with Craig Lahm. (E-mail: clahm@mail.owls.lib.wi.us )

Proposed changes to the Fox Valley Library Council bylaws:

  1. "The President shall call two meetings per year to include an annual meeting of the Fox Valley Library Council each May". The motion was made to approve by Ken Hall and seconded by Rick Krumwiede. Motion carried.

  2. Council Webmaster be added to the list of appointed positions in the bylaws. The motion to approve was made by John Nichols and seconded by Mary Bayorgeon. The motion carried.

  3. The appointment of Peter Gilbert to the position of FVLC webmaster. The motion to approve was made by Ken Hall and seconded by Joan Mueller. Motion carried.

Harriet McCauley was cited for her many years of service as director of the Clintonville Public Library.

The meeting adjourned at 9:45 and reconvened at 10:00 for the workshop "Leaderment: Combining Leadership and Management - The Art of Making Things Happen".
