FVLC General Meeting Minutes
January 25, 2002

1. The meeting was called to order at 9:35 am.

2. Minutes of the May 11, 2001 Business Meeting were approved. The motion was made by Pete Gilbert, seconded by Janice Laubenstein.

3. Report of the Treasurer was presented by Pete Gilbert. The report was accepted as presented.

4. Report of the President
   

   Cheryl Gage reported that the majority of members who participated in the planning meeting last year were in favor of shorter business meetings to allow more time for the program and networking. In this spirit the business meeting will be brief.

   Cheryl gave credit to Karen Probst for developing a general pathfinder to help users of the Business Video Catalog find business videos in the Winnefox and OWLS catalogs. Terri Richards, Membership Chair, has worked very hard to include email addresses on the online directory for most members.

   The Long Range Planning Committee, chaired by Ken Hall (Vice-President/President-Elect) has submitted a plan for discussion at the February Board meeting. It will then be presented to the general membership and voted on at the annual meeting scheduled for May 10, 2002.

   The winner of the "FVLC Slogan Contest" was announced. Edie Phillips, Winnecone Public Library, submitted the winning slogan, "Ken Hall dressed in his sundae best!" Edie received a giant jar of maraschino cherries as a prize. Ken received a supply of ice cream gift certificates for being such a good sport.

5. Greta Thompson motioned to adjourn and Janice Laubenstein seconded. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 am.
