FVLC General Meeting Minutes
December 7, 2007
Appleton Public Library
- Call to Order
Desiree Bongers called the meeting to order at 10:20.
- Introduction of Executive Board Members
Desiree introduced the members of the executive board who were present and noted the ones who were absent.
- Approval of minutes from the May 18, 2007 general meeting
Karen Probst made a motion to approve the minutes. Pete Gilbert seconded. The motion carried.
- Treasurer's Report
Pete fielded any questions. Thanks for your work, Pete!
- Announcements
- Education Committee-introductions. Elizabeth Eisen introduced Joe Bongers, Leslie Farrell, and Janice Laubenstein. Thanks to these individuals for their great efforts!
- Educational grants-please know that these are available from FVLC.
- Programs in 2008 are "Forgotten Foremothers" at the Ripon Public Library on March 14, 2008 and "How to talk to Eskimos" at the UWO Reeve Memorial Union on May 9, 2008. Hope you can join us!
- Sign-in sheet-please make certain that you signed in.
- Membership directory-Desiree Bongers double checked all the listings she knew and Karen Probst will double check the ones she knows. Thanks ladies!
- Next general meeting
will be on May 9, 2008.
- Adjourn
At 10:25, Mark Arend made a motion to adjourn and Karen Probst seconded. The motion carried. (Pete abstained-ha ha-he likes meetings!)
The meeting was followed by a wonderful presentation, made by Terry Dawson, Director of the Appleton Public Library, about his trip to Transylvania.
