 Guidelines for Borrowing Sound Equipment
Green Apple Folk Music Society
compiled by Dan Geddes

  1. All sound equipment is to be reserved through the person designated as Sound System Coordinator by the Board of Directors. Currently, the person designated is Lori Hull. Details of the reservation will include: a.) Name of person responsible for the equipment b.) Date and approximate time that equipment will be picked up at Bubolz c.) Date and approximate time that equipment will be returned to Bubolz. d.) Specific equipment that will be borrowed.

  2. Borrower is responsible for arranging pick-up and drop-off times with the Nature Center staff. Calling ahead is recommended to verify Nature Center hours and staffing to insure that there will be someone there to unlock the storage room.

  3. Green Apple equipment consists of three separate systems: the small system, the medium system, and the large system. Interchanging equipment between the systems is strongly discouraged, but in some cases permissible if the Sound System Coordinator agrees.

  4. Only Green Apple members in good standing may borrow the small or medium systems. New members (less than 1 year) may borrow this equipment subject to board approval.

  5. The large system is meant primarily to reside at Bubolz on a permanent basis. It can be used outside of Bubolz only by decision of the Board of Directors, and usually only for events of the Green Apple organization (as opposed to events featuring only one group or musician).

  6. All damage and malfunctions should be reported to the Sound System Coordinator. Financial responsibility for damage or loss will be determined by the Board of Directors on a case by case basis.

  7. Borrowers of the equipment are encouraged to attend one of the periodic "Sound Person" training sessions offered by Green Apple, to become familiar with the operation of the sound systems. At a minimum, they should familiarize themselves with the detailed operating checklists and the equipment manuals.
