Green Apple Folk Music Society promotes and encourages folk music, particularly in northeast/east central Wisconsin. We are a nonprofit membership organization of individuals and families. Our main activities are concerts and hoots (open mike nights) and jams -- opportunities for people to listen to music and to play together. Our ideas about folk music are very broad including acoustic styles such as bluegrass, blues, country, Celtic, folk, gospel, old-timey, singer-songwriter and World. You won't find a more supportive bunch of music-makers. Some regulars are professional and others are beginners; many of us don't play but just enjoy! So come give a listen or take that old guitar out of the closet and play with us! * * Would you like to receive email notification of our events? Sign up here.
