Building is set-up, we're all unpacked, we found the piano that we lost in the move, and its 75 degrees today -- all is good! 

Our phones are on again (920-734-CAFE).  We are running a few programs, but the kitchen isn't open yet.  Still need to get all the new teammates trained -- but we're getting close!!

Official Grand Opening Celebration is Thur May 7 - Sat May 23 with lots of great programs and fun!

Harmony Café’s Thursday night’s open mike night will be the last night for the cafe in its current location, 124 N. Oneida St., Appleton.

The café then shuts as it begins the move to its new location, 233 E. College Ave., the former Pilgrims Café spot.

“We’re moving on Friday, April 10,” said Shannon Kenevan, director of the café, which is a non-profit program of Goodwill Industries NCW.

“We’ll have a week and a half of absolute shutdown, but then we have programs happening later in April. The 22^nd is the absolute earliest we can open. It won’t be before then.”

Kenevan said Harmony will unfold in parts, and some events, like an April 25 skate park fundraiser, can happen independently of when the actual kitchen portion of the cafe opens. 

By May 6, he said the place will be fully up and operational for a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Harmony will have two weeks of events to celebrate the opening. It will also have expanded hours, opening earlier in the day — at 6 a.m. weekdays — and later hours in the evenings. “We’ll also be open on Sunday, which we weren’t before.”
