Café
believe that to truly fulfill our mission, we need to
continually strive
to be an all-around socially-responsible
coffeehouse. As our programs strive to build a better
community and a better world, our economic choices need to align with
values that build
stronger communities in every corner of the globe.
The purpose for
our coffeehouse is
to provide a
socially conscious cafe experience through the products we offer
and the education
we provide to the
community on socially conscious economic choices.
Below are some of the ways we provide a community-minded coffee
experience.
NON-PROFIT Coffeehouse
All sales income goes to Goodwill
Industries of North Central Wisconsin to continue to offer unique,
innovative and impactful programs for our community members. We strive
to be a socially responsible
coffeehouse with a vision to create a better community where arts and
culture are celebrated, leaders
are developed, civil dialogue is promoted, and all people are valued!
GREEN
Coffeehouse
We compost all of our coffee grounds and
filters and also use compostable cups, plates, dinnerware,
napkins and straws. All of our compostables go to the Fox Cities
Community Gardens. We also offer
discounts for green choices such as re-using mugs and using alternative
transportation.
Organic Coffee & Fair Trade Beans
Our beans are roasted locally by a
family-owned business for the freshest cup of coffee.
Through Fair Trade, the farmers who grow our beans are getting a fair
wage for their beans.
And, we only use organic beans. You are helping support locally owned &
operated businesses,
farmers in other countries, and the environment. Each cup of coffee and
shot of espresso is ground,
crafted and brewed fresh by the cup by our skilled baristas for a gourmet
coffee experience.
Cyber Café & FREE WI-FI
In our rapidly changing world, we believe
everyone should have access to information.
Our affordable cyber café and FREE WI-FI help keep our community members
informed & connected.
Elders email their grandchildren, students write papers. Business folks
use our café as an office
without cubicles—and we even offer fax and photocopy services.
