From Headlines to History
125 years of major news headlines and how they made it into the history books
Opening at Hearthstone Museum on February 2 and running through June 19.
The exhibit will look at several major news stories over the last 125 years such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the invention of the polio vaccine and the terrorist attacks on September 11th. The exhibit will discuss what made these headlines such big stories and will examine the coverage in the newspaper before it became facts in a history book. The exhibit will include several interactive elements such as video and audio displays. In addition, the exhibit will take a look at the newspapers in Appleton and how they have changed over the last 125 years.

There is minimal parking at Hearthstone please park on State Street if the lot is full.
