at Hearthstone
Hearthstone
Historic House museum is always looking for people who are interested
in learning new things, meeting other people and having a good time.
At Hearthstone we have lots of exciting opportunities for volunteers.
This is just a brief look at what we can offer you…

Tour Guide– join our fabulous
team of tour guides and learn more about Appleton history and
early technology. Work with adults and children as you lead them
through the past into an exciting time in American history. Regular
tour hours are Tuesday through Saturday. Training provided.

|
|
Guest Services– become a greeter and help
us welcome people into the past, work in the gift shop and see
all the new things we are going to be bringing into the area.
Training provided.
|
|
Curatorial– help us preserve and care for
the wonderful collection at Hearthstone. We will train you to
preserve decorative arts, textiles, woodwork, furnishings and
technological equipment.
|
|
Educational Programming– teaching, sharing
or helping. From arts and crafts, period art projects, book clubs
and so much more.
|
|
Clerical– keep things running smoothly behind
the scenes at Hearthstone. Assist with answering questions, helping
the staff organize information, mailings and other office duties.
|
|
Special Events- this is a great opportunity
for those who don’t have a lot of time, but want to be involved!
Throughout the year Hearthstone has a number of events and programs,
we always need volunteers to help run the events doing a variety
of tasks. |
