The following collection of cards, mostly involving the early 1900's, was inherited through the Lambie Estate by Donna Lambie Ulrich of Kaukauna.  Donna is the daughter of Patricia Oudenhoven & Eugene Lambie; Eugene is the son of Lucy Busse Lambie; Lucy Busse Lambie is the sister of Martha, Ida and Anna Busse. The correspondence was collected by Ida and Anna Busse.  Anna died in the 1930's and Ida kept the collection in their homestead on County J in Kaukauna. Ida died in 1972 and the books were tossed in the dumps (landfill). A person who frequented the area tripped over the books and recognized the Busse family name and returned the collection to Otto Busse, brother of the Busse girls.  When Otto and his wife Victoria died, their son Victor took possession, clipping the valuable stamps from some of the correspondence, and then returned the collection to Lucy Busse Lambie who was still alive. The collection was stored in Lucy's attic until her death in 1982.  Donna Lambie Ulrich inherited them at that time and has carefully referred to them in her extensive accomplishments in genealogy of the Busse and Lambie families ever since.

We certainly appreciate her sharing the collection with us which involves quite a bit of history of the town of Kaukauna and the city of Kaukauna.
