Meet your Positive Voice Board!

President - Lynn NashLNash
Lynn moved to the Green Bay area with her life partner in 2002. She has been advocating for survivors of sexual violence for the past 20 years. Currently, Lynn is the Program Supervisor/LGBTQ Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Center of Family Services. Through her years of advocating, she developed an expertise in the arenas of professional training and promoting sensitivity and awareness to legal and medical personnel. Her experience has lead to her involvement on a statewide level through the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) & Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA). Lynn began focusing her advocacy work with LGBTQ clients in 1997. She has made it a priority to have inclusive safe mainstream services for sexual assault victims who identify as LGBTQ. Lynn has been a member of Positive Voice since 2003 and a member of the board since 2006. She looks forward to her new leadership role within Positive Voice.  In her free time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her family which includes her life partner of 10 years, their two miniature schnauzers and her partner’s mother. 

 

MichaelVice-president - Michael Nitz
Michael Nitz moved to Appleton, WI in 1982 after graduating with a Masters in Library Science from the University of South Florida, He works at the Appleton Public Library as the head of Technical Services. Michael was on the board of GLEEDA when in 1996 the GLEEDA board approached Positive Voice and began work to combine the organizations. He been a member of the Positive Voice board since 1997 in various capacities. Michael coordinates the technological side of Positive Voice, focussing on web site development. He also managed the book & film discussion group, The Lavender Salon until this summer, and maintains The Lavender Salon Reader web site to help gay readers find and develop their own book discussion groups. Michael is also on the board of the Fox Cities Rotary Multicultural Center representing Positive Voice.

 

Secretary - Lloyd SchaeferLloydS
Lloyd has been a member of Positive Voice almost from it's inception 15 years ago. Having previously been elected to all four executive positions, he looks forward in keeping PV the premier LGBTQ organization for NE Wisconsin. Lloyd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from UW-GB and later earned his BS-Pharmacy at UW-Madison. He is the pharmacy manager at CUB Food (East). Lloyd enjoys reading, travel, politics, and trivia. He has served as accompanist at Angels of Hope-MCC for 10 years and was instrumental in helping Union Congregational-UCC become an "open and affirming" church in 1997. Lloyd shares his Astor Park home with Morris, his endearing cat.

 

 

Treasurer - Jennifer SchnabelJenniferSY
Jennifer Schnabel has resided in Green Bay since 1996 and joined the Board of Directors of Positive Voice in 2006. Jennifer is very active in the community. After graduating from St. Norbert College, she has worked and volunteered for nonprofit agencies in the area - from fundraising to community impact to mentoring. Jennifer enjoys reading, camping and fishing, traveling and remodeling her historic home in Astor Park.

Bob GuligBGulig

My name is Bob Gulig and I live in Appleton.  I have worked in health care for over 27 years in the accounting area.  I have been a member of Positive Voice for the past 10 years and I served on the PV Board from 1998 through 2006 as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice President.  I recently rejoined the Board this past summer to fill a vacancy.  I have also been involved with coordinating the joint PFLAG Appleton/Fox Cities & Positive Voice Octoberfest booth for the past 5 years.  For the past 4 years I have also coordinated ticket sales for Food of All Nations, a major fundraiser for the Fox Cities Rotary Multicultural Center.  I am a member of PFLAG Appleton/Fox Cities and Angels of Hope Metropolitan Community Church.  On a personal note, I have had a partner for the past three years and I have three grown children.   I enjoy spending time with my friends and traveling

 

Kathleen LeadleyKathleenL
Kathleen Leadley has worked in education for the past 36 years. She recently retired from the Green Bay Area Public Schools and is now recycled. She facilitates adult training on a wide variety of human relations issues here in Green Bay and around the nation. Her expertise involves Safe School, Bias and LGBTQ issues, Diversity and Bullying. Kathleen brings an intense passion to Positive Voice; especially for social justice. As an ally/activist, she is deeply committed to creating safe inclusive environments where all people are respected and nutured to their fullest potential.

 

Mary Kay Wagner
Mary Kay has been a member of Positive Voice for five years having been a member of GLSEN and is presently a member of PFLAG-Fox Valley.  "M. K." is a displaced Chicagoan with a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University.  Currently, and for the last 28 years, she is a member of the Schreiber Foods Inc. Research and Development team. The focus of her job is the analysis of new and competitive products and the development of new methods for this analysis.

During her years at Schreiber Foods, Mary Kay worked with a young research scientist who is now her "adopted" gay son. He left Schreiber and is now living in Kansas working in the pet food industry. He recently took "M.K." to New York, as his guest, where he received the top award from his employer for a new analytical test that would promote sales. It was listening to his stories of injustice that is the motivator for Mary Kay to be involved in GLBT support groups and to make a change in society.

 

David Youngerdyounger
David Younger is a native to the Green Bay area. Dave graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an Associates degree in Civil Engineering. Dave enjoys spending time with his friends and his god children. He also enjoys overcoming the trials and tribulations of fixing up his 100+ year old home in Astor. This is Dave’s first year with Positive Voice and is very excited to be a part of this wonderful organization.
