Literary Awards American Library Association's Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Book Awards The American Library Association has been awarding book awards to the best of gay fiction and non-fiction since 1971. This is the oldest, longest running gay & lesbian book award. Ben Franklin Awards This awards is given for the best gay & lesbian book by an independent publisher. The awards are sponsored by The Publisher's Marketing Association. Firecracker Literary Awards
These awards began in 1996 by independent publishers to celebrate and publicize the best of independent publishing. Lots of GLBT books have won this awards. KarMel Scholarship Two awards given to student writings & artistic creations dealing with gay, lesbian and/or bisexual issues.
Lambda Literary Awards The Lambda Literary Foundation has been presenting awards (affectionately known as Lammys) for the best in a wide variety of categories since 1988. The Publishing Triangle's Triangle Awards The Publishing Triangle is formed of book publishers. They sponsor two annual awards: The Ferro-Grumley Award for the best gay & lesbian fiction, and the Judy Grahn-Randy Shilts award for the best works for gay & lesbian nonfiction.
