Tips on using the Positive Voice Website! We hope you like all of the improvements! There are new features in every section! The first thing you’ll likely notice is the brand new logo! The
logo was designed by Arketype as part of an identity project that is still on-going. Arketype donated over $2,000 of their time and operating costs to help develop the logo and an information booklet that describes Positive Voice and our services. The second feature should literally pop out at you! It is the new side navigation bar. It appears on every page. To move to a page or section, click on the
button of interest. All of the navigation buttons lead to other sections of the website. Some of the buttons provide links to many pages, so as your mouse over the buttons, other buttons may “fly-out” to the right to enable you to move quickly to those pages. Check out The Gay Internet Index, it has sections that are three levels deep! Speaking of The Gay Internet Index
... Some of you may find it very reminiscent of the Gay section of Cooler by the Lake, and well you should. Cooler by the Lake was closed down recently, but the index to useful GLBT websites has migrated and will continue to live here! So you’ll still have access to all your favorite links. Can’t figure out where we placed an article? Use the Search PV Button. Every article is
indexed! Type a word in the search box and click the Search PV button. You’ll be taken to a results page with links to the articles containing your words. If you have a sophisticated search, click the Advanced Search link. There you’ll be able to limit your search by date, or find articles where words appear near other words. The Calendar is completely new as is the Newsletter
page. We hope you’ll find the graphical format much easier to use. So, take a look around! We hope you’ll find lots to like in the remake of the website. But we’re always looking for ideas and ways to make the website more useful, so if you’ve ideas and suggestions, we’re all ears! Contact the webmaster! |
