The Town Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Town Meeting Room located at 8358 County Road T in Larsen. The meetings are posted in three locations, at the Clayton Elementary School on Fairview Road, at the Raveno parking lot on the corner of JJ and Breezewood, and at the Town Office. The annual meeting of the Town Board is held on the second Tuesday of April.

The Planning Commission meets on the second Wednesday following the first Town Board meeting of the month. The planning commission accepts rezoning requests, preliminary and final plats and site plans. They make recommendations to the town board regarding the requests they receive.
Although a quorum of Town Board members may be present at the meetings, no Clayton Town Board action will be taken.
