Message from our Minister

Dear One

What an honor to have been with y’all during the Annual Meeting! I saw Love-in-action as I watched a Divine Idea unfold from within our community and manifest into an awesome experience of harmony, trust and faith. Setting our Intentions, visualizing the Good we seek to experience and express in 2003 and doing all of the above in alignment with our core values of inclusivity, integrity, collaboration and joy. Divine Order rules!

Now what? Remember our experience in setting intentions back last fall? I’m very clear that just setting the intention(s) and putting them on the wall is not enough.

Jesus said, (John 16:24) "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name [that is, from the consciousness that I AM One with the One]. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy might be full" - okay, we’ve done that. In another place, Jesus said, (Mat 7:7-8) "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who seeks finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."

Well, it seems to me we are ready to do the "seeking and knocking" parts. Jesus thought of himself as a seeker (Luke 19:10). So we could try doing as Jesus did - taking time to pray and listen and then doing what the Father-Mother Within guides us to do.

Out of that awareness, I ask you join me, the Board, and the Prayer Team in prayer -- using the Master Mind process we used to close our Annual Meeting. Master Mind Prayer is a powerful, systematic consciousness conditioner. Helping to move us progressively from being willing to trust, then into trusting and having faith into a place of knowing that "God is already supplying Unity Church of Christianity with an abundance of all things necessary to fulfill our purpose, without making any of these the object of our existence."

If we expect a different result - we have to do things differently! It’s not enough to catch a Divine Idea; we must do the work that is ours to do - shifting out of fear into a knowing faith that "God can do anything for us - except fail!" And frankly, this is something that no one else can do for you! Each of us has to get up and get this Living Water ourselves. (John 4:10)

Join me in prayer and seek out times to listen. Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, said, "Go to God first and then to man as God directs." We are walking as the Light and Love of God - we will be shown what is ours to do next. (John 12:49-50)
