Dear Friends,

Spring has officially begun! As you read this newsletter we have had at least one warm day in March where I saw the neighborhood children playing basketball in their shorts! Some of you have moved Spring along by planting your seeds with the aid of grow lights!

We have had a wonderful opportunity to grow together this winter as we shared in class and during our Sunday lessons the seven “Keys to the Kingdom”. The Keys are spiritual principles that we use to create an abundant life for ourselves. One thing that I have found powerful in our course is effective use of prayer and meditation balanced with a call for action. The great mystery in our spiritual journey is the balance between the “being” and “doing” and the intersection of our consciousness with Christ Consciousness. Charles Fillmore often talked about the importance of our co-creation with Spirit. He said,“God has created the divine ideas within His creative plan and man co-creates with God by the forming of the spiritual divine ideas God creates and man forms. Both functions, ’creates’ and ‘forms’, are part of the creative plan.” (Glossary of Charles Fillmore’s Terms.)

Like the ebb and flow of the seasons, sometimes we spend more time in meditation and then we get the Divine urge to spring into action —shaping and molding the Divine ideas. We need to be alert, and follow some of those quiet urges of Spirit to take action. One day recently during my morning meditation, I was holding Marilyn Mader and her family in prayer. I was picturing God’s love surrounding her and the family as her father had recently made his transition. When I got up from my meditation, acting upon Spirit's prompting, I gave her a call. I got her answering machine and I said briefly that I was seeing God’s love and comfort in her life. The following Sunday she took me aside and shared this story. She had listened to my phone message just after returning home from a car accident. She had hit a spot of black ice on the highway and rolled her car into a ditch. She and a friend walked away with some scratches, but the car was a total loss. She said she had no fear during the ordeal and felt angels were watching over her and Dad’s presence turned the car right side up!

So, this Spring I invite you to spring into action! Begin, or continue the activities suggested in our Keys to the Kingdom talk series. Summaries of the talks are available on our web site.

Happy Spring!
