Dear Friends,
Last month I started with my top metaphysical ‘must reads’ and this month I will round out the top ten with five more selections.
Summertime is a good time to sit, relax, read, and contemplate. I will not guarantee that each selection is an “easy read”, but I will start with one, Love Is Letting Go of Fear, by Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D. Dr. Jampolsky, a psychiatrist by training, now works primarily with children with terminal illness at the Center for Attitudinal Healing. This easy-to-read book suggests that we can choose to let go of fear and change our lives.
Myrtle Fillmore’s Healing Letters is one the great gems of the Unity movement. Myrtle’s wisdom was shared in her responses for healing prayers that were received in the early days of Silent Unity. Her writing is full of love, tenderness, and truth.
Emmet Fox was one of the giants of the New Thought movement. He spoke to the largest New Thought crowds ever assembled in the 1930s and 1940s. All his books are worth reading, but my favorite is The Sermon on the Mount. Fox’s metaphysical interpretations of Jesus’ messages are deeply inspiring.
Another giant in the New Thought movement is Joel S. Goldsmith. He was a healer and founder of the Infinite Way, an independent New Thought organization. All of his writings are profound, and one of my favorites is Living Now.
The last volume in my top ten metaphysical volumes is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I gave a series of talks based on the wisdom written in this book. His other writings are also valuable sources of native wisdom.
I hope you will read and enjoy these beautiful life changing books.
Blessings,
Reverend Morgan
