January 2006

Dear Friends,

It is hard to believe but 2005 is behind us!

Cynthia and I are in our third year of ministry together in Appleton. As we look back we have received great blessings in 2005 and we have the opportunity to expand our visions for 2006. One Sunday in December we had eighty people, including many children, so we were running out of space for youth. This is a blessing and a reflection of the growth of our youth education.

In 2005, we have been blessed with great opportunities to learn through workshops, retreats, classes, cinema, and our Sunday lessons. Our fellowship activities were numerous and varied. From potlucks to campfires to our open mics and our raffle, we’ve had fun and learned a little more about each other along the way.

We have given of ourselves and we are seeing the fruits of our labor. Our education program is growing, our men and women’s groups provide an opportunity for sharing, and our Prayer ministry has touched many lives. We are much closer to our HOOO (home of our own) than we were a year ago, as we raised over $35,000 this year towards that vision and I invite you to affirm that the “home we seek is seeking us.” And see it coming into manifestation—in 2006.

We are blessed to be a part of Unity Church of Christianity. People here are full of life, energy, optimism, and sharing. What is apparent is that lives are being transformed, yours and mine. Sometimes these transformations are large and other times they are gradual, but the spiritual growth of each of you and our community continues to expand. Our mission is clear - to support s piritual transformation through worship, fellowship, and service. I encourage you to invite others who you know are searching for deeper meaning on their spiritual journey to join us for a Sunday morning service. If we reached 1% of the population within our driving range, we would touch over 2,500 lives and uplift the consciousness of the Fox Valley!

If you attended our Burning Bowl Service last year, spend time reflecting on your letter to God that has been sent to you. Rejoice in the fulfillment of last year’s goals. Join us once again for this powerful service on January 1st, , to release the past and be open to Spirit to guide our intentions for 2006.

There is great power in this special Unity service. Also, attend our annual meeting on January 29th as we review our accomplishments and set our collective intentions for 2006.

Blessings in this New Year of possibilities!
