"Your Best Spring Yet!"

Dear Friends,

As I am drafting this message we are a few days from the Spring Equinox and the official beginning of spring. Also this evening there is a snow advisory for 4-6 inches of snow. I choose to “Think Spring” and look past the current conditions!

What ideas have you germinated this winter that you may choose to plant this spring? Which of the seeds collected during the cold Wisconsin winter months, when the bare structure of our belief system is exposed, do we now sow and nurture? How do we make choices from the many opportunities that present themselves? Which actions allow us to feel authentic and come from a consciousness of love? What actions come from fear and set us back? Don Miguel Ruiz in his volume The Four Agreements talks about the voice that is always running in our head. We release ourselves from this chatter by stepping back in the moment, choosing not to react from our emotions, and then listening to the guidance of Spirit. Then we will act upon our divine guidance. We can wait for the right conditions to make a decision, just like we wait for the right time to plant our seeds. Hasty or hesitant actions create the greatest risk for loss or failure.

To till your personal soil, create a nurturing environment where the seeds of growth will flourish. Each Sunday you can water those seeds of personal growth with prayer, meditation, music, and a Unity message. Our class schedule provides you with opportunities to dig deep and study Unity principles in depth. We are stronger when we grow together. Just as trees in a forest protect and support one another, our ministries of prayer, fellowship, HOOO, Women’s Gathering, Men’s Group, meditation classes and youth education provide places of fun, fellowship, support, service, and growth.

One of our springtime activities will be the premiere of the movie, The Consciousness Of The Christ. This film has interviews with some of the best minds in New Thought. They discuss Jesus’ message of forgiveness, love, our divine nature, and empowerment. Portions of the film were shot in the Holy Land. This movie is a good introduction to those new to metaphysics. Also, we will continue our series of talks devoted to topics that came out of a congregational survey. Many of you asked for practical ways to apply Unity principles. We will be asking ourselves how do I apply Truth principles in personal relationships, my relationships with family, and with the boss and coworkers?
