For our family, and for many of you, Unity reflects our deepest understanding of who we are and our relationship with Spirit. Every day we can find new insight into our experiences and world by looking at ourselves and the outcomes we create through the eyes of Unity principles. We also find friendships and fellowship, comfort and counsel with the members of our own Unity church.
We find it easy to support our Unity church in the same way that we support other things in life that are important. Unity isn’t like the material necessities of life such as shelter, food, and clothing. It’s more like the things that truly matter that embody our best intentions, such as education for our children, work with people who need us, and spiritual activities such as prayer and meditation that keep our hearts alive.
Coming out of our most financially successful year in 2006, I hope you will join us in helping Unity continue to grow financially, replenish its operating fund, and extend its heart and message into our community in 2007. Starting with prayerful reflection about what Unity means to you and how Unity fits into your life, take action on your inner guidance and bring forward what you know is right for you.
Make a monthly pledge. Sign up for an electronic funds transfer. Donate half of a quarterly bonus check. Any number of things may feel like the right thing to do. If you’re led to go off the beaten path and support our church in a creative or unique way, tell us about it so that we can share your insight with others.
Spirit brings forth our best. I hold in my heart that we will let Spirit bring forth our best for our prosperous and growing Unity community!
