At the Speed of Life

This newsletter reaches more than 200 members and friends of Unity Church of Christianity every month. When Cindi and I put it together, we think about what you might like to read, what you should know about regarding upcoming activities, and how we can convey to you the ongoing business of our church. We also like to think that we are a positive presence in your mailbox, sending you the news, yes, but also reminding you that while you move at the speed of life, it's still important to make time for your own spiritual renewal.

Please sit down with me for just a little while as you peruse the rest of this newsletter. You know what I'm talking about--find a chair, sit on it, and "take five..." Take a deep breath and release. Again. Again. There you go!

This month provides ample opportunities for spiritual reflection and renewal. In addition to our regular ministry meetings and fellowship groups, you are invited to join us for the following:

• By the time you read this newsletter, Laura Roy will have presented the March 2nd Sunday message on "Living the Lord's Prayer." Thank you, Laura, for sharing your work and insights with the congregation. Laura will be teaching a class based on her book, "Paradise Now," beginning April 2nd. More details inside.
• On Thursday, March 6th, at 7 p.m. Dr. Al Bellg will lead Spiritual Reunion Meditation. You are welcome, even if you've never attended before. Support your commitment to prayer and meditation by taking time out to join Dr. Al.
• On Sunday, March 9th, the topic is "Prayer and Meditation." Is there a difference between prayer and meditation? How do YOU put these practices into daily living?
• On Palm Sunday, March 16th, we'll look at Jesus as a "spiritual activist."
• On Easter Sunday, March 23rd, we'll celebrate resurrection as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
• On Sunday, March 30th, our speaker will be Reverend Barbara Hill , who will present the Sunday lesson and meet with us following the 10:00 service to talk about the results of her listening sessions, interviews, and survey findings.
