Unity Moving Ahead
In my last newsletter message, I encouraged us to “Make what we want from Unity, and leave the rest.” Well, with the great participation at the open sessions and private interviews with Rev. Barbara Hill, plus the excellent response to the questionnaires about our church, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing!
Everyone has had a chance to think, talk, and write about where our church is going and what we need to do to get there. The conversation will continue on Sunday, March 30, when Barbara will join us to present the information she’s gathered. She’ll offer the spiritual message during our 10:00 service, and then afterwards she’ll spend a couple of hours leading us through a process to help us better understand where we are and our options to move our church ahead.
We have some important choices in front of us, and your prayers, thoughts and participation will make a difference. For example, we are not far away from making the decision about what path to take with regard to our spiritual leader. We need your input and involvement to help discern the path spirit has for us.
How about our Sunday school activities? A new home for our church? Our outreach into the community? Our church finances? What are your thoughts about those things – and even more importantly, how does Spirit move you to be involved with your church?
This is an exciting time for all of us. Please plan to be there on March 30!
