Message from our Minister:
"Charting Our Course for 2003"

Almost three months ago, I challenged you one Sunday morning to set an intention, with and for this Church. I’m curious about your experience of that process. Did you find that you put it away and never thought another thing about it until just now? Did you bless that intention with loving energy on a regular basis and have received the blessing you desired? Or was your experience somewhere in between, as mine was? You see it takes more than setting an intention to achieve the Good we desire. An alignment of thoughts, words, and actions, combined with Divine Energy (emotional energy) are required to change our experience. Abraham Lincoln once said "We are about as blessed as we make up our minds to be."

How blessed have you chosen to be? What are you willing to Be and Do, to have all the GoOD (GOD) that you desire? The Good News is that we can re-create our experience every single day. Unity’s Prosperity Principles can help us figure out how to be spiritually blessed so that our lives are changed, dreams are built, and God glorified in all that we do.

During this time between permanent ministers we have the opportunity to discover what Unity Church is called to BE. The Board has set the intention for us to review and recommend changes in our Vision, Mission and Values statements to present for approval by the general membership at the next Annual Membership meeting Jan. 26th. On a parallel track, the Board is also calling a Ministerial Search Team, so that the team can become familiar with the process so that when our Vision/Mission/Values are ready, then they can then write up our church employment packet.

Once we have our ad in the Minster’s Letter and have set the date to begin interviews of Ministerial Candidates in late spring is my guess, we will holding the prayer watch as Spirit reveals our next right and perfect Minister. As interim, I plan on staying through that time, at least, until your next minister is named.

We have a mighty work to do! I want us to focus on cocreating a stable centered awareness of God, out of which all the good we desire shows up. Abundance in all things, love, friendship, and enough to share and to spare. There are three phases to developing the Prosperity Consciousness; which is our divine birthright as Beloved of God.

• First: We must release and let go what no longer serves us (forgiving ourselves and others of error thinking.) Knowing: Christ is the forgiving power & all is well.
  
  
• Second: We must Be Definite about who we are and what we desire. It is our Father-Mother’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom and it is ours to receive!
  
  
• Third:, we must Put God First in all aspects of our lives. God is My Source and I circulate God’s abundance.

What are you willing to contribute as we travel on the journey?

You can be involved by showing up, praying us up, being involved in writing up our Vision/Mission/Values and getting involved in developing the church employment package and Ministerial Search process. As we do these tasks, you will be developing skills that will help you put God into action in your life in new and prosperous ways. You will be valued as a contributor (in more than name or purse only) and you will be able to influence our success in making "Unity version 3.0" in 2003 the grandest version yet!
