The Board of Trustees established three Home Of Our Own ministries to address the future home for Unity Church of Christianity. Each ministry has a core group of about six church members plus a Board liaison. Sub-ministries to focus on particular tasks are likely for each of the core ministries.

The Visioning/Prayer ministry has created the powerful affirmation that we say each Sunday and invite you to affirm daily. Please post the affirmation where you will see it often.

We, the congregation of Unity Church of Christianity, affirm these truths:

• We are grounded in the Universal Laws of Love, compassion, abundance and growth.
• We commit our desire, our imagination, our enthusiasm and energy which now propels us into our next ‘home of our own.’
• We trust in our loving, generous Father-Mother God as our true source, and now accept an abundant supply of time, talent and treasure to manifest our ‘home of our own’.
• Love of God and humankind draws us now to an attractive facility that is worthy of the highest good for your spiritual growth, fellowship, youth, staff, ministries and the Fox Valley community.
• Our next home is seeking us!

We SEE it. We FEEL it. We CLAIM it. We give thanks that it is manifesting NOW! And so it is!

The formation of these ministries is the next step in manifesting the vision defined during the spiritual discernment process that took place on April 18, 2004 under the direction of Rev. Barbara Howard. This vision was subsequently refined by a survey taken of church members and congregants in late April.

These ministries work closely together and will be the catalysts that will propel us forward into our new home. Descriptions of each core ministry follow.

Prayer & Visioning Ministry
Charge: Come together in prayer and discernment and elevate, expand and clarify our community consciousness so that we are open to God's plan for us. Strong prayer persons will come together and develop affirmations, prayers, and powerful visions regarding our connection with Spirit, our programs, and our new facility. Sub-ministries may include prayer support in homes, etc.

Facilities
Charge: To develop a facilities concept plan that will allow for further growth for our community. Helpful special skills would include a great imagination, interior/exterior design, construction, and/or remodeling experience. There will be multiple sub-ministries created by this group to accomplish the tasks. Please note the primary skills involve planning and project management. Those who want to do the hands on work may consider signing up for a sub-ministry.

Expansion of Prosperity Consciousness
Charge: People with expanding prosperity consciousness will develop a plan for creating the prosperity for our new facility without loosing sight of our current expanding program needs. Ministry can begin by looking at fund raising models, talking with the Association and other successful Unity churches that have recently completed capital projects. Sub-ministries will be created to support this activity.
