"Those who find their passion in life are fortunate. Those who are able to live their passion are truly blessed. I am very grateful to find myself doing just that. Spiritual growth and service in Unity is my passion, and I live it every day."A Licensed Unity Teacher (L.U.T.) is an assistant to the minister and ministry. Although not ordained as a Unity minister, April Kain-Breese may teach adult classes, give Sunday lessons, offer spiritual counseling, officiate at weddings, christenings, and memorial services, and provide other assistance to the ministry as requested and approved by the senior minister.
The road to becoming an L.U.T. includes 380 hours of classroom instruction over a minimum of three years, as well as experiential learning, and written and oral final exams. April was licensed in 1999 with a specialty in adult education. Since that time, she has been very active, including stints as acting spiritual director during ministerial transitions.
April was introduced to Unity in the early 1980's during a visit to Florida. At that time, there was no Unity presence in the Fox Valley, but in 1983, several Unity-minded individuals came together and began what became a 15 year odyssey, culminating in full church status and calling the first minister in 1997.
April is also library director at University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley in Menasha.
