Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert, Ben Joas and Sharon Mathison. Also present was Lydell Pethke, Mark Haddock, Pete Coonen, Don De Cristofaro and Ken Romberg.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes of March 15, 2010.

The clerk presented the March 15, 2010 town board meeting minutes. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the March 15, 2010 town board meeting minutes, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.

 

  1. Public participation: Time for Public to express their opinion on any item or address the Town Board on an issue.

1.      Lydell Pethke came before the town board in regards to piping going under the road on Dale Road, North of 9330 Dale Road. The town board will look into the matter on Road Day.

 

2.      Mark Haddock and Pete Coonen came before the town board with a barking dog problem in their neighborhood.

 

  1. Financial Status.

The clerk went over the financial report with the town board.

 

  1. Old and New Business

1.      Don DeCristofaro- ordering new U. S. flags and poles.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to support the purchase of the flags and poles, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.

 

2.      Duane Howard and Michael Poole Conditional Use Permit tax parcels 028-0137, 028-137-02 and 028-0138 at Maple Ln and 9420 Manu Rd. Applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to extract sand and gravel for use as general fill.

The Land Use Map needs to be changed and the Comprehensive Plan.

 

3.      Town hall addition.

Chairman Eckstein commented that he has a gentleman that would like to send the plans to Madison.

 

4.      Winnebago Archers, Inc. picnic licenses -4/17-4/18/10, 5/8-5/9/10, 6/5-6/6/10, 7/10-7/11/10 and 8/14-8/15/10.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve the Winnebago Archers, Inc. picnic licenses of 4/17-4/18/10, 5/8/-5/9/10, 6/5-6/6/10, 7/10-7/11/10 and 8/14/-8/15/10, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.

 

5.      Road Day.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to set Road Day -April 12, 2010 at 9:00am to possibly noon, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.

 

6.      Set Open Book – May 15, 2010 from 2:00PM and Board of Review

June 1, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM.

Tabled to next meeting.

 

  1. Correspondence.

1.      State of Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue.

2.      Timber cutting notice- Dorothy Jones.

 

  1. To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve the bills as read, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.

 

  1. Adjourn.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Roll calls all ayes. Motion carried.
