Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert, Doug Joas and Sharon Mathison. A list of residents in attendance may be obtained from the clerk.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes April 2, 2007.

The clerk presented the Town of Winchester town board meeting minutes of April 2, 2007. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the town board meeting minutes of April 2, 2007, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

  1. Public Participation: Time for Public to express their opinion on any item or address the Town Board on an issue.

Sonny Borchert came before the town board in regards to his neighbor coming to the town board checking out what needs to be done so that his land could be hooked up to the sewer. Sonny would also like to hookup to sewer at his shop on Cty. Rd. II

 

  1. Old and New Business.
    1. Zillges Conditional Use Permit Appeal.

Discussion was held. The Town of Winchester town board are planning on attending the Public Hearing on May 29, 2007 at 5:30p.m.

    1. Certificate of Deposit-0100070485045 renewal.

    1. What should happen to the old town records?

Joe Olson, President of the Winchester Historical Society stated that at the Annual Meeting of 2004 the motion was made that $3,000 should be given to the Winchester Historical Society to make a Safe Room for old record books of the Town of Winchester as a donation, but this has never been done. As of date the books are still in the plastic crates that they were brought in, nothing has been done as a safe room at the Winchester Historical Society. He had checked with Keller Structures and the bid was $10,000, priced to high.   Chairman Eckstein made a motion to have all the old town records returned to the Town of Winchester and they will be put back into the safe room, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

Dick Larsen a member of board of the Winchester Historical brought up the question of what should be done with the $3,000.

 

Supervisor Reinert stated that the $3,000 should be handled by the Winchester Historical board.

  1. To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the bills as read, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

  1. Adjourn.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.
