Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester Town Board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert, Doug Joas and Sharon Mathison.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes August 6, 2007.

The clerk presented the meeting minutes of August 6, 2007. Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of August 6, 2007, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

  1. Old and New Business.
    1. Appoint Larry Kriescher Plan Commission member.

Discussion was held. Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve Larry Kriescher as a plan commission member for a three year term expiring in 2010, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

    1. Approve Plan Commission appointments.

Discussion was held. Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve Mark Severson as Chair and Randy Strohmeyer as secretary, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

    1. Babbitt-Sholund Insurance bid.

No bid sent.

 

    1. Winnebago Cty Emergency Management training- September 25, 2007.

Discussion was held.

 

    1. Winnebago County Highway Maintenance Contract.

Discussion was held. Chairman Eckstein made a motion to approve the Winnebago County Highway Maintenance Contract, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

    1. Snowplowing bids.

Discussion was held. Chairman Eckstein made a motion to go with Radtke

      for a three contract, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

    1. Cindy Urban personal property taxes unpaid.

Discussion was held.

 

    1. Michael Wohler’s property.

Discussion was held and held over to the next meeting for more discussion with property owner..

 

    1. Workshop on Completing the Benefit-Cost Analysis for Mitigation Projects.

Discussion was held.

 

  1. Correspondence.

1. Mike Ellis – letter Grandview Road and Hwy 45.

 

  1. To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve as read, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

  1. Adjourn.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.
