Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert and Sharon Mathison. Doug Joas absent. Also present were Randy Gorges, Keith Shebilske, Ken Stroupe, Ben Joas, Mitch Grube, Rose Gauthier, Bev Anunson and Mike Siewert.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes March 17, 2008.

The clerk presented the town board meeting minutes of March 17, 2008. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the town board meeting minutes of March 17, 2008, seconded by Chairman Eckstein. Motion carried.

 

  1. Financial Status.

Discussion was held.

 

  1. Public participation: Time for Public to express their opinion on any item or address the Town Board on an issue.

1.  Jenow Konow came before in regards to a clean out on the ditch by Faith Rd and Bison Road.

2.  Rose Gauthier came before the town board in regards to the speed limit is reduced to from 55 to 35 mph. She had a petition signed by area residents.

3.  Mike Siewert from Martenson & Eisele, he does town road rating and road bidding.

  1. Old and New Business.
    1. Schedule Road Day.

Discussion was held postponed to the next town board meeting.

    1. Annual Agenda.

Discussion was held.

    1. Randy Gorges- Bison Road snowmobile trail to Townline Rd.

      Discussion was held. Chairman Eckstein made a motion to approve the 

      snowmobiles clubs of using the snowmobile trail, seconded by Supervisor 

      Reinert. Motion carried.

    1. Friendship Trail cleaning.

Discussion was held.

    1. Giving permission to Steve Olson to cut brush and trees out around Maple Lane Cemetery.  

Discussion was held. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve Steve Olson to cut brush and trees at Maple Lane Cemetery, seconded by Chairman Eckstein. Motion carried.

    1. Disaster Assessment Workshop.

Discussion was held. Postpone discussion for two weeks.

     

  1. Correspondence.
    1. Letter from Winnebago Cty Sheriff Department.
    2. Bob Braun email-DNR-NR 115.
    3. Larsen/Winchester Sanitary District meeting minutes Feb. 6, 2008.
    4. Larsen/Winchester Sanitary District meeting minutes March 5, 2008.
  2. To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the bills as read, seconded by Chairman Eckstein. Motion carried.

  1. Adjourn.

Chairman Eckstein made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.
