Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert, Doug Joas and Sharon Mathison. Also present were Ben and Alice Joas, Bev. Anunson, Rose Gauthier and Lori Seiler- Winnebago Sheriff deputy.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes April 21, 2008.

The clerk presented the town board meeting minutes of April 21, 2008. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the town board meeting minutes of April 21, 2008, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

  1. Financial Status.

Discussion was held.

 

  1. Old and New Business.
    1. Road Day.

Discussion was held. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to have Road Day on May 12, 2008 at 9:00AM, seconded by Chairman Eckstein. Motion carried.

 

    1. Mike Siewert- Martenson & Eisele.

Discussion was held. Chairman Eckstein made a motion to utilize Martenson & Eisele services on road bids and other road checks, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

    1. Bill Bouras –drainage.

Discussion was held- the situation will be looked at on Road Day.

 

    1. Sauby Road speed limit results.

Discussion was held. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department did not send us a report on the speed limit trailer results that had been placed on Sauby Road before taking it to another location. Sauby Road speed limit  lowering will be discussed at our next town board meeting.

 

    1. Lawn bids.

Chairman Eckstein made a motion to go with Bohm Lawn Care for mowing the town hall and cemeteries, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

    1. Resolution.

Discussion was held. Chairman Eckstein made a motion to sign the Resolution and send to the County Planning and Zoning Committee, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

    1. Wage surveys.

Discussion was held.

 

  1. Correspondence.
    1. Wisconsin Towns Association - meeting minutes.

 

  1. To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

  1. Adjourn.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Joas.

Motion carried.
