Town Board Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order.  Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert Doug Joas and Lona Schroll.  Also present were Rose Gauthier, Ben Joas, Keith S. and Carrie Koepp- Winnebago County Sheriff deputy.

 

  1. Approval of meeting minutes May 5, 2008

      The town board meeting minutes of May 5, 2008 were presented by Lona Schroll. Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the minutes of May 5,

      2008,  seconded by Supervisor Joas.  Motion carried.

 

      C.  Public Participation:

            No participation at this time.

 

       D. Old and New Business

             1. Road Day

                  Discussion was held.  The report of the roads was discussed and various roads need some fixing up.  Chairman Eckstein made a motion and

                  seconded by Supervisor Joas to have Dekeyser do the hand patching on roads that require it.  Motion carried. Supervisor Joas made a motion to

                  utilize Martenson & Eisele services to put out bids for the overlay of Ann & John streets. Seconded by Supervisor Reinert.  Motion carried.

 

2. Sauby Road

    Discussion was held.  Carrie Koepp gave a report of the speed limit results. The average speed of 30 cars was 47.0 mph.  They will come and check   

    again at various times of the day.  She will report the results at the next board meeting.

 

3.      Schnell bartender license

Supervisor Joas made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Reinert to approve the bartender license of Melissa Schnell.

     G.  To approve disbursements

            Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Supervisor Joas.  Motion carried.

 

     H.  Adjourn

            Supervisor Joas made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.
