Town Board Meeting Minutes

September 8, 2008

7:00PM

A.      Meeting called to order.

Chairman Abe Eckstein called the Town of Winchester town board meeting to order. Present were Abe Eckstein, John Reinert, Ben Joas and Sharon Mathison. Also present was Dean Mathison.

 

B.      Approval of meeting minutes.

1.       August 18, 2008.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve town board meeting minutes, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

2.       August 29, 2008.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of the Special Meeting for opening slurry seal bids, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

C.      Financial status.

Discussion held.

 

D.      Old and New Business.

 

1.       Mike Siewert –road bids.

 

2.       Nicole Jacob and Cheri Jacob bartender licenses.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to issue bartender licenses to Nicole Jacob and Cheri Jacob, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

3.       Dean Mathison benefit picnic license.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to approve the Dean Mathison benefit picnic license, seconded by Supervisor Reinert. Motion carried.

 

4.       Fire Department and First Responders funds ordinance.

Discussion held.

 

5.       RW Management report.

Discussion was held.

 

6.       Letter from Winnebago County in regards to septic tanks Section 83.

Discussion held.

 

7.       Town Building plan.

Discussion was held.

 

8.       Maintenance agreement with Winnebago County.

Supervisor Joas made a motion to set the minimum at $1,000.00 a mile total to be $37,000.00 for 2009, seconded by Supervisor Reinert.  Motion carried.

 

9.       Review guidelines for town hall and pavilion use.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the guidelines for the town hall users, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

E.       To approve disbursements.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to approve the bills as read, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.

 

F.       Adjourn.

Supervisor Reinert made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Joas. Motion carried.
